A former member of Thomas Lee Bass’ band, Suite 19, played regularly on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles during the late 1970s alongside other upcoming bands such as Van Halen and Quiet Riot. In this period, he became acquainted with Nikki Sixx, the bassist for the band Sister and London, which were also on the circuit.
